The Hawaiian Ice Shaver is a real treat. It is extremely simple and compact. The design is a total thumbs up because it looks like a really expensive kitchen appliance. The slim design also gives you plenty of counter space for other more important kitchen stuff. Anyway, we love that it is a very direct-to-the-point ice shaver. Just pop ice cubes and ice blocks inside the canister and press the button.
This electric ice shaver comes with two round ice block molds. This way, you can put more and enjoy more rather than having to break down bigger chunks of ice just to fit it in the canister. We do have a fun trick we'd like to share that worked perfectly with the Hawaiian Electric Ice Shaver; we froze some berries (strawberries, raspberries, and peach). When the berries completely frozen, we tried shaving it with this electric shaver and we got the results we've really wanted – an unnatural snow cone without having to add those flavors on.
Anyway, we love that it produces fine snow; but by the time the ice is about to finish, the snow gets coarser. But no big deal, it's not like as if the coarser shaved ice are bothersome when you're already eating your snow cone. Besides, you can adjust the steel blade is you want to have coarser ice chunks for your glass of margarita.
We love that you can disassemble it as well for easy storage and portability. So, if you really wanna bring it to your next family camping retreat in your RV, then this is pretty easy to bring around. We do love that it produces semi-fine and even snow. The ice consistency is great; it’s not that coarse nor fine either but it is perfect for snow cones nonetheless, and slushies too! You can either use the round block ice mold it comes with or regular ice cubes. It chews everything up so well. It is pretty surprising that it has great design and great quality, so this is a definite crowd favorite when it comes to ice shavers.
Remove Olaf's head and drop in the ice. Put it back on and put on Olaf's forehead to start shaving. It is also very safe to use that's because it will never operate unless you put the head back on. The power button is found on Olaf's head making it a great snow cone that even your kids can use when you're not around.
We love just how nice it is in the countertop as well and it is lightweight. The only problem we have with this item is Olaf's nose. It pokes out too much that storage can be difficult since you can't just stuff it in a slim cabinet because Olaf's nose pokes everything in its way.
