Top 5 Best Bugaboo Stroller | 2018 Reviews
So you've heard everyone raving about Bugaboo Strollers. You know that Bugaboo is a reliable brand. But with so many different models to choose from: Donkey, Cameleon, Fox... how do you choose which bugaboo stroller is best for you?
As usual, we at ParentsNeed HQ have done the hard work for you and distilled the choices down to what’s important and what fits with your lifestyle. So let’s get started with our Top 5 Best Bugaboo Stroller reviews.
Criteria for Choosing the best Bugaboo Stroller
1. How many kids do you want to transport?
If you're looking to transport more than 1 precious passenger inside the stroller by yourself, there's only 1 stroller in Bugaboo's line up that's up for the challenge. It's the Bugaboo Donkey. The Bugaboo Donkey comes in 2 different configurations: one for carrying children of different size and age; one for carrying twins. Other Bugaboo Strollers can utilize the comfort wheeled board to carry 2 children of different ages.
Bugaboo Comfort Wheeled Board (with seat) Review
The bugaboo wheeled Board is an excellent addition to your Bugaboo Stroller for letting an older child hitch a ride when they're tired. It also has a detachable seat so your older child has the option to sit or stand. Don't forget you have to purchase the right adapter for your model of Bugaboo Stroller. A Bugaboo Wheeled Board adapter for the Bugaboo Bee will NOT fit a Bugaboo Cameleon.
2. Active and Outdoor use?
If you're active and are looking to use the stroller to take your baby/kids along for a run, rollerblade, or a speed-walk, look no further... the best bugaboo stroller for you is the Bugaboo Runner. This Bugaboo stroller has a sturdy fixed front wheel design with 3 large wheels to handle any surface with ease.
3. Is space an issue?
If you're living in the city or a place with limited real-estate indoors or out, then the best bugaboo stroller would be the Bugaboo Bee. This is the smallest, lightest and cheapest stroller of the Bugaboo lineup and comes in at a mere 19.6 lbs / 8.9 kgs.
4. Versatility
Do you live in the city, like to go out for a run, but also enjoy exploring malls and shops? Then the best bugaboo stroller to fit your bill is the Bugaboo Fox. The Bugaboo Fox is the most versatile stroller in the Bugaboo Lineup. This stroller is designed for the city, for travel, and for the outdoors. Its got excellent ground clearance, and has built-in suspension for a smooth ride.
5. But I want it all what can I do?
The beauty of the Bugaboo system, is that a lot of parts are interchangeable. You can use the bassinet, seat, drink holder, sun canopy, from any Bugaboo Stroller, in any other Bugaboo Stroller. So, if the best Bugaboo stroller for you is the Bugaboo Bee, but you're serious about running, well you don't have to buy the entire Bugaboo Runner, you just buy the Bugaboo Runner chassis (at half the price), and then clip the seat/bassinet from the Bugaboo Bee, and away you go.
6. Price
Finally, last but not least, a very important criteria is price. Bugaboo strollers are not cheap. But due to their versatility, they can end up saving you money and space, especially if your lifestyle demands multiple strollers. If price is an issue, but you still want a stroller that's good around the city, but also a capable companion when traveling or outdoor, then the best Bugaboo Stroller for you is the Bugaboo Cameleon. While the Bugaboo Bee is cheaper than the Bugaboo Cameleon, the Bugaboo Bee is only for light duty and is not recommended for use outside city streets and parks.

Bugaboo Fox Review
Bugaboo Fox is the most versatile stroller in the Bugaboo Stroller lineup. Even though it's not the lightest stroller that Bugaboo produces, through a combination of clever design and high tech materials, it has the lightest push weight. Together with its all wheel suspension system, you'll be sure your child will enjoy a smooth and stable ride wherever your day takes you.
For your comfort and convenience, the Bugaboo Fox has an adjustable handle allowing parents of all sizes to use the stroller comfortably and ergonomically. There is also a convenient foot operated parking brake to hold the stroller in place in case you need to take your hands off.
The standard Bugaboo Fox comes with the chassis, seat frame, bassinet hardware, wheels, under seat basket, carry handle and rain cover. Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Review
Bugaboo Cameleon is also a versatile machine. The only difference between this and the Bugaboo Fox is that only 2 of the 4 wheels have suspension.
However, as the name suggests, the Bugaboo Cameleon can change and adapt to its environment. In the city, you push it with small wheels in front which allows for easy handling and a smooth ride over more pedestrian obstacles. On rough terrain, simply adjust the handle so you push the Bugaboo Cameleon with its large wheel in front, and you have a stroller capable of tackling gravel, mud and even snow! For really rough terrain, there is a swivel lock function to help you maintain directional control. For even rougher terrain, you can purchase NON-SWIVELING rough terrain wheels which are bigger, and can replace your swivel wheels in seconds. Compared with the Bugaboo Fox, the Bugaboo Cameleon has lower ground clearance, so won't be able to tackle terrain as rough as the Bugaboo Fox can.
As with the Bugaboo Fox, the handle is adjustable to cater for parents of all heights. The seat attachment can be reversed, allowing your child to face you and drift off to a gentle nap, or face forward and take in the wonders of this world.
Unlike the Bugaboo fox, you'll notice that there is no option for the Bugaboo Cameleon to fold flat. This is the main difference in functionality between the two models which commands a price difference of $200.

Bugaboo Donkey 2 Review
Bugaboo Donkey 2 is the people carrier of the Bugaboo Stroller lineup. There are two versions of the Bugaboo Donkey. One for twins, and one for kids of two different sizes or ages. This stroller can be used as either a double, or a single stroller. For your convenience, it's been designed to fit through a standard doorway even as a double stroller!
Bugaboo Donkey 2 Mono version comes with a standard seat, or bassinet, and a side luggage basket. It can be upgraded to a duo by activating the widening mechanism to expand the width of the Bugaboo Donkey 2, and replacing the side luggage basket with a full-size Seat or Bassinet. This could be for you if you're planning to have 2 kids of similar age.
The Bugaboo Donkey 2 Mono version comes standard with the chassis and frame, sun canopy (with wires), carry handle, under seat basket, rain cover, side luggage basket (and cover), base seat fabric, base bassinet fabric and bassinet apron.
The Bugaboo Donkey 2 Duo version comes standard with an additional frame, additional sun canopy (with wires), additional rain cover, and an additional seat fabric.
If you're expecting twins, then the Bugaboo Donkey 2 Twin version will be perfect for you. It comes standard with everything the Bugaboo Donkey 2 Duo has as well as an additional bassinet fabric, and an additional bassinet apron.
The Bugaboo Donkey 2 is a heavy duty stroller but its been designed for maneuverability thanks to its swivelling front wheels. All wheel suspension combined with the large foam wheels provide a cushy ride for your precious passengers. The large wheels allow the Bugaboo Donkey 2 to handle rough terrain, mud and snow with ease.
The convertibility into a single or double stroller is the Bugaboo Donkey 2's main draw. One additional feature is its fold flat system similar to that offered by the Bugaboo Fox. This feature is a must have for a stroller of this size, especially if your living space is limited.
For convenience, the Bugaboo Donkey 2 comes with a telescopic handle to cater for parents of different heights. For safety, the one foot operated parking brake is available for times when you need your hands free.
The Bugaboo Donkey 2 is an upgrade version of the original model. Main changes are that the Donkey 2 comes with foam filled wheels instead of air filled wheels, and the additional of all wheel suspension since foam wheels do not provide adequate suspension. The main benefit of foam filled wheels is that they cannot puncture, so you never have to worry about getting a flat. Other changes include a flip flop friendly parking brake, and better aesthetics for the bassinet apron. All accessories for the Bugaboo Donkey 2 are backward compatible with Bugaboo Donkey strollers or accessories.

Bugaboo Bee 5 Review
The Bugaboo Bee 5 stroller is the best choice for the urban parent. This stroller has been designed from the ground up for the city dweller in mind. The main design feature of the Bugaboo Bee 5 is its lightweight chassis and its convenient one hand fold system. These features allows easy stowing of the Bugaboo Bee whether it'd be into a car, taxi or train.
For mobility, the Bugaboo Bee 5 comes with 4 six-inch foam filled wheels with independent suspension to ensure a smooth ride for your little one. The two front wheels swivel to allow agile maneuvering around tight spaces around the city.
For your convenience, the Bugaboo Bee 5 comes with the standard adjustable height handlebar to cater for parents of different height. For safety, the Bugaboo Bee 5 has a convenient 1 foot operated parking brake for times when you need your hands free.
The Bugaboo Bee 5 is compatible with a multitude of Bugaboo accessories, from the Bugaboo Bassinet, to the Comfort Wheeled Board. Please note that the purchase of an additional adapter may be required for some accessories.
The Bugaboo Bee 5 is actually the model after Bugaboo Bee 3. They skipped 4 probably because of the significant redesign they've done to the Bugaboo Bee 5. 3 of the most notable improvements are:
1. Better suspension and sturdier frame ensure a smoother ride and make it easier to push on uneven terrain such as grass.
2. Luxurious handle bar grips made of vegan leather instead of the black foam grips.
3. A more ergonomic 5 point safety harness.
