When your baby cries really loud, a steady rhythmic shushing sound which is louder and firmer than your baby's cry really does the trick-- at least most of the time. We are really surprised at the results. This is a technique from 'The Happiest Baby on the Block' Book. Interesting, huh?
At first, we at ParentsNeed HQ were very skeptical about the baby shusher. The baby shusher just sounds so harsh and apparently quite unorthodox but when we think about it, we often shush our toddlers when they grow older so why can't we do the same to our babies? Apparently, a shushing sound louder than your baby's cries will eventually keep them quiet. That is because when they were still inside our wombs, they only hear the loud rush of blood in our bloodstream and other in utero sounds. That's the pretty simple principle of the baby shusher.
This baby shusher review isn't all about the good of this baby noise machine. Though it is absolutely effective in calming down a baby's crying spell, but it does have that horrible design flaw. The first design flaw is the speaker. It's found at the bottom of the baby rocket shape. It also becomes a problem when you tip the rocket shusher to its side so the sound will be louder but it ends up rolling all over the place. And one of the downsides of owning a baby shusher is that the maximum timer set-off is 30 minutes. Unfortunately, some babies take more than 30 minutes to sleep.
We also think that it needs to do away with the twisty thing to activate the shushing. You know, buttons would be so much easier to use because at least you can just use one hand with it. But at least it's not much of a bother for anyone if it really does the job at calming your baby down. Thumbs up for the calming effect but definitely thumbs down for design and that's why we are putting it in spot number four!

However, this may come at a price. Even if this is a good device, we have noticed that it comes with an electrical wiring defect that affects the projector after a couple of use.
